The FR Downhill frame is specially designed for high stability on long descents at high speeds.
The FR Downhill frame (364mm) is designed for 5 wheels of 90 mm diameter. Such a wheel configuration does not even exist in racing frames. These five quite large wheels make for a very long wheelbase: 364 mm from front axle to rear axle. If you compare this to the
FR snelheidsframe voor 125 mm wielen race frame, you can immediately see how long this frame is.
The shorter (340mm) variant allows for wheels up to 84mm and might be more manageable for smaller shoe sizes, but this is up to personal preference. Both are really stable, long frames that allow for maximum stability while hillbombing.
This long frame ensures that you maintain great stability even at the very high speeds you can achieve when descending steep slopes.
Strengths:
- If you want to do downhill inline skating, you will automatically come to this FR Downhill frame.
Weaknesses:
- This is a niche frame and it is not suitable for any other discipline. You cannot use it as an all-round frame.
The frames are packed in pairs.
Ten axles and ten spacers are included, as well as an Allen key.
