Powerslide HC Evo Pro 90 is a three wheel inline skate for slalom.
Even when three wheel skates were already mainstream, the freestylers stayed sticked to four wheels without any exception. This has changed with this freestyle inline skate of Powerslide, the HC EVO Pro 90. Now it is the 3rd generation of this successful slalom inline skate.
As the name suggests, the designers chose three wheels as their ideal set-up for slalom tricks. The name also suggests that the diameter of the three wheels is 90 mm, but that is a little misleading: for sizes EU 39 up to EU 46 the wheel set-up is 3 x 90 mm indeed. But for sizes EU 36 up to EU 38 the diameter of the wheels is 84 mm and so the set-up is 3 x 84 mm.
There is barely any difference between this 3rd generation and the
Powerslide HC EVO Pro 90 2nd generation. The differences are almost exclusively aesthetical: some colours have been added to the boot and the wheels have another colour too.
The Powerslide manufacturer writes some nice words about this skate, which we like to repeat although they are somewhat over the top for our European down-to-earth mentality:
