The IQON ACT Interlink is a decent inline skate boot-only for urban and aggressive use, on which three frame mounting standards can be used.
What' is "Interlink"?
With "Interlink" the manufacturer means that on the inline skate boot three different standards of frames can be mounted: UFS frames, 165mm frames and Trinity frames. The necessary adapters are included in the box.
A removable soulplate is included too. A soulplate is necessary for aggressive inline skating, but if you are not interested in grinds, you can remove it and use the skate as an urban skate.
What's in the Box?
- the black Iqon ACT Interlink boot of course
- a grey ACT soulplate
- the Myfit Double infusion casted PU and EVA MYFIT shock absorber
- a Myfit size adjuster
- the ACT Trinity and 165mm adaptors
- a Kizer supreme buckle
- a tool for the axles
Strengths and weaknesses
The biggest strength of this inline skate boot-only is at the same time its weakness. It's quite impressive that three frame standards can be mounted on the inline skate boot, but it comes with a cost. When only one frame standard can be used on a boot, that boot can be optimized for that one mounting standard. When three standards are possible, some compromises have to be made in order that the three standards can be mounted.
