MPC Black Magic Wheel Firm

The MPC 110 mm Black Magic Firm wheel is a racing wheel for rough or slippery roads and is very fast.

MPC's Black Magic wheels were introduced at the speed skating world championships in Ostend (Belgium) in 2013; this immediately resulted in a world champion and that with a strong world record. Since then, all Black Magic wheels have been very popular among skeeler racers.

About he technology:

• stiff hub
• a sandwiched Mtech® inner ring of 63A inside harder outer urethane. The ingenuous combination allows wheel flexing for grip, as well as durable wheels that last longer and roll better.

The brand MPC does not follow the usual durometer pattern (which in fact should be used only for single density wheels). The Firm indication means that the wheel has more grip than the average MPC wheel; and on the other side of the balance this means that it will last a little less. Firm more or less corresponds to 83A and is used by racers when the road surface is rough or slippery.

Strengths:

• Not just a racing wheel, but a very fast racing wheel.
• A dual density wheel like all MPC wheels.

Weaknesses:

• It is more expensive than the average fitness wheel in terms of purchase price. (Not in price per kilometre.)
• Sorry, but I don't like the colour.
