The Endless 100 RB frame is a high quality frame that is suitable for multiple wheel set-ups and has a balanced rocker.
It is designed specifically for the Adapt Hyperskates, the
Micro MT Plus skates and the Rollerblade's models
RB and
Twister. (That are a series of urban skates of the brand Rollerblade.)
Because with these inline skates you might experience issues with centering the
'normal' Endless 100 frame.
The Endless 100 RB resolves these issues with longitudinal (instead of lateral, see the pictures of the
'normal' Endless 100 frame) mounting slots for dialing in front-back frame alignment.
For centered mounting on FR/Seba boots: push frame forward (bolt sits towards rear of slot).
For centered mounting on Rollerblade or Adapt boots: push frame backwards (bolt sits towards front of slot).
As all the Endless frames, the Endless 100 RB frames are designed entirely with freeride in mind, for skaters who want to achieve high speeds while remaining agile and playful.
That's why the frames are rockered in the 4-wheel set-up. (You can't consider them a slalom frame, because for that the wheelbase is too long and the rocker is too small. It is not a 2 mm banana set-up like e.g.
FR Deluxe V3 rockered frame, which is a real slalom frame).
But for the freerider, they do have the perfect blend of stability, speed and agility. And that is why all the Endless 100 frames are so popular (this Endless 100 RB frame, the
'normal' Endless 100 frame and the
Endless Trinity 100 frame).
Only the 4-wheel set-up is rockered. The 3-wheel set-up is flat.
You can use the frame with 2, or even 3, different set-ups:
- 4 x 100mm
- 3 x 110mm (in the product specifications we write that the max. wheel diameter is 100 mm, but that is in the 4-wheel set-up)
- many boots will be able to fit 3 x 125mm, including FR Skates FR1, FR2, FR3 and FRX, Rollerblade's RB80/110/Pro/Cruiser skates and Rollerblade's Twister Edge.
The reason that Endless 100 RB frame can fit even 3x125mm set-ups on many boots, is due to its increased ride height over the original Endless 100 frame.
Only a few 125 mm wheels fit on this frame, as many are too thick where the hub meets the polyurethane. (This has nothing to do with the wheel profile.) The middle frame holes for the 4-wheel setup block many types of 125 mm wheels (the middle of the three wheels).
The pair of frames includes 8 axles (but no spacers).
(Skaters who have inline skate boots with Trinity mounting, should look at the
Endless 100 Trinity frame.)
Most skaters don't use a brake on an Endless 100 RB frame, but if you think you need a brake anyway, you should choose these brakes:
- For the 4x100 set-up you need size L of the Powerslide Urban brake.
- For the 3x110 set-up there is no suitable brake at the moment.
- For the 3x125 set-up there is no suitable brake at the moment.
Strengths:
- In contrast to other multiple set-up frames (from other brands), the height of the 4-wheel set-up is not affected to necessarily allow for a 3-wheel set-up. There is only a 1mm gap between the front frame bolt and the second wheel in the 4-wheel set-up (as there should be).
- The balanced rocker 4-wheel set-up is ideal for freeriding.
- The use of the strongest aluminium makes the frame very responsive.
- Thanks to the longitudinal mounting slots the frame can be adapted to play with the place of its center.
- It fits all inline skates with a 165mm mounting.
Weaknesses
- Even with the best frames we have no problem finding a few weak points: we simply raise the bar. 😁
For example, some people find it aesthetically disturbing that there are holes visible for the axles of the unused wheel set-up.
- The 110 mm three wheel set-ups only work with bullet profile wheels, not with full profile wheels. (The 125 mm set-up does not work with all wheels either, as described above, but the frame is not really designed for it either; it is rather a coincidence that some 125 mm wheels do fit, and then only on some inline skate boots.)
- Because the mounting slots are longitudinal and not lateral, the frame cannot be adapted from left to right, which could have been useful for who rides too much on either his inner or outer edges.
