The Seba CJ2 is based on the Seba CJ Carbon Black, the flagship of aggressive inline skates.

Compared to the Seba CJ Carbon, the Seba CJ2 has two disadvantages, a small advantage and a big advantage.

Because no carbon is used:
- the Seba CJ2 is heavier,
- and the conversion of energy into forward motion is less than with the carbon version.

An advantage, however, is that the Seba CJ2 has more flex.
And the biggest advantage is of course that the price is less because composite materials are cheaper than carbon.

The difference between the Seba CJ2 and the Seba CJ2 Prime Black (boot-only) lies in the absence and presence of the liner: the Seba CJ2 Prime Black (boot-only) has a removable liner. This explains its higher price. It also makes the Seba CJ2 Prime Black (boot-only) narrower than the Seba CJ2, because they have the same shell.

There is such a thing as a break-in period and if you take your normal shoe size, you might get used to them after a while and they might be nice and tight around your feet, but for most people they will be just too small. That is why most inline skaters take the Seba CJ2 one size bigger than their normal shoe size.
