Because the FR SL Carbon Boot Only has a carbon cuff, it is very rigid at the ankle. That has advantages, especially for slalom, but a lot of riders prefer a less rigid cuff, especially if they are interested in fitness and freeride too. Because the cuff of the FR SL Seven is made of plastic, it is less rigid and it makes this skate a more versatile tool for any type of skating.
