The FR SL Boot is made from carbon fiber with an integrated Intuition liner for peak performance!
This is a boot only with a medium height cuff. The mounting standard on this boot is 165mm which is the same as on the other FR skates like FR1 and FRX.
This boot-only inline skate has a heat moldable integrated Intuition liner. All Intuition liners are heat moldable, but it is nice to know that this is the first ever integrated Intuition liner.
This boot-only is designed for speed skating and urban speed skating, but it is also very suitable for speed slalom and free jump. At the time of this writing, the world record for Free Jump is 162 cm and it was jumped with this inline skate boot.
Strengths:
- The integrated Intuition liner is the best on the market
- The carbon fiber from which the shell is made has a high power transfer and control of the skate
- The medium cuff provides balance between ankle support and flexibility
Weaknesses:
- The lower cuff gives less ankle support
- Delivered without a frame
Sizing guide:
for fitness and speed skating you take the same size as for a normal shoe.
However, if you want to do Speed Slalom or Free Jump, it is best to take one EU size less than for a normal shoe so that the inline skate fits around your foot like a second skin after the break-in period.
