Swell Firefly 125

The Powerslide Firefly is a nice, versatile softshell inlineskate that is ideal for long distances.

The Powerslide Firefly has a three-point frame mounting system, which is called Trinity by Powerslide. This allows you to stand lower to the ground than the more standard two-point frame mounting system.

The 125mm wheels that come standard on this skate are the biggest on the market and are ideal for travelling long distances.

The fastening system on this skate consists of waxed laces that are good for a lot of tensioning of the skate, a velcro strap that provides extra flexibility in the ankle and a buckle on the top so you can tighten it extra hard.

This is a very nice skate and yellow is a colour that goes well with inline skates, both for men and women. The design is clearly well thought out.

Depending on your personal preference and whether you wear orthotics, you can put the enclosed quality insoles in the skates or not.

The advantage of these skates is that because of the big wheels and the Trinity-system they are very suitable for fitness and making long trips.
Another advantage is that there is almost no space between the wheels and therefore the frame is relatively short which makes it a very manoeuvrable skate.
Yet another advantage is that there are holes for the laces up to the top. In combination with the waxed laces and the Velcro buckle, you have no trouble whatsoever securing this skate as tight as you want, which benefits your stability.

A disadvantage is that it comes with big wheels, so it is not a skate for doing tricks.
Another disadvantage is that the shoe is one piece and therefore not modular. The only parts that can easily be replaced are the top buckle, the laces and the frame.
